I'm Sara Waters, LPC


While neurotically trudging through what felt like groundhog day in a dead-end marriage, a job that I dreaded going to, a bucket load of childhood trauma, a chronically racing mind, and a body full of anxiety and tension, I had completely lost connection to myself. At the time, I had no idea how fried my nervous system was and how mindlessly I was floating through my weeks, mostly in a state of survival mode and dissociation. I felt so lost.

Years in therapy and dozens of hard decisions later, I clawed my way back toward a life where I now feel calm, confident, excited for my future, and obnoxiously full of joy. Everything I learned and moved through brought me back home to the sharp, adventurous, playful, motivated and most real version of myself.

In an attempt to help others do the same, I returned to academia and completed my masters in clinical psychology. I opened a private practice and served as a trauma-informed, IFS-based, non-pathologizing psychotherapist for 15 years. Now, as a Personal Development Coach, author, speaker, and workshop + retreat facilitator, I use my education and experience to help people (just like you) find their way back to feeling and functioning like yourSELF

What's the cost of not making a change?
